How to add a dictionary to your Xteink reader

The Xteink X3, X4 and X4 Pro can look up words with the open-source CrossPoint firmware (version 1.6 or newer). Our Xteink download is made for it: uncompressed and ready to unpack onto the SD card.

1. Unpack the ZIP directly onto the SD card of your reader. Afterwards there is a folder /dictionaries/<name>/.
2. On the device open Settings → Reader → Dictionary and choose the new dictionary.
3. The first lookup builds an index, which takes a few seconds. After that, lookups are instant.

Inflected forms work too: the dictionary includes a list of word forms, so the word as it appears in the book leads to the right entry.
